Textiles for Bea

These photos are for my friend Bea in Toronto. She is a seasoned traveller who collects weaving samples on her many stops around the world. She has not been to Sri Lanka yet so I thought I’d send her some photos of an array of fabrics I found in a store along Galle Street in Colombo, near the Crescat Mall.

Heh girl, your life has stood still …. nothing since the middle of August. Is this a good thing? Too busy? Or have you left for a vacation somewhere? Oh mysterious one; hope you’ll pop up soon. xx’s Cathy

Wow, it’s October lst and I just discovered this message to me. Thank goodness; I was beginning to think you’d contracted some ghastly ’something’ that had you out of commission. I’m extremely busy too; but I still find time to check up on you. I look forward to your next entries; I’m tired of Bea, that’s my mother’s name and she doesn’t like me. Where did you go on holidays? what’s the new job? Stop itching; get scratching as I REALLY like living vicariously through your adventures and interesting experiences. I’m glad you weren’t in any danger or ill health; I can put THAT ‘one’ to rest now. C.

    Hi Susan,

I was just sorting my Sri Lanka pics and thought I’d check out all your new ones! I hope you have a little time to add to them soon.

    Keep in touch, Jamie
